Long ago, a little boy stood at his second-floor window, gazing at the clear sky painted with the vivid hues of sunset. He was a dreamer, his imagination nourished by stories that painted the world beyond his limited view.
Though past his curfew, this "little rebel" dared to imagine the life ahead. Even at his tender age, he felt an urgency to grow up quickly, not just to escape bedtimes but because he sensed the brevity of life. Comparing the weeks he'd lived to those of his parents, he realized how fleeting time truly was. This awareness sparked a fervent wish for a long life, one rich enough to contain all his grand ambitions.
His dreams were as vast as the sky he admired: to be a soccer professional, a pilot, a benevolent politician changing the world for the better. He yearned to travel, to make his parents proud by expanding their small business, and to become a loving father and husband.
Questions swirled in his young mind: What kind of father and husband would he be? He aspired to be present, supportive, and nurturing. Beyond family life, he dreamed of being a good friend, a keen listener, successful yet humble, and always fun-loving.
Years passed, and like most of us, not everything unfolded as he'd imagined. He made mistakes, bore scars, and at times, perhaps, wasn't as humble as he'd hoped to be. Success didn't always come easily. Yet, he never found a reason to give up, knowing his story was far from over.
While professional soccer remained an unfulfilled dream, many others materialized. He explored numerous countries and learned to fly. He engaged in community work, served as a politician for his home county, and successfully grew his parents' company. Fatherhood brought its own rewards, with his children's affection suggesting he'd done "okay" in that role.
From these dreams, a tapestry of beautiful, happy memories emerged. Contentment found him, and as you might have guessed, that little boy was me.
Even now, I find myself gazing at sunsets, reevaluating the time ahead, and pondering how to better serve others and myself. Life still feels too short, but I'm certain that this moment, right here with you, is exactly where I'm meant to be, fulfilling yet another dream.
From the depths of my heart, I hope you, too, pursue your wishes. For me, the opportunity to share stories on screen, to show others the world beyond their windows, feels like the greatest gift I can offer. Through these tales, I hope to entertain, educate, and perhaps ignite dreams in others, inspiring them to turn those dreams into reality.
Because, it is never too late. See you at the movies.
